Kim Son

She started with the firm in public accounting in 2014 but has been providing tax services to her local community since 2012. Her client focus is now mainly with high net worth individuals and businesses with a specialty in international tax and multi-state compliance for individuals and corporations. Aside from her background in tax, Kim has experience in financial reporting and bookkeeping, and she is a leading payroll expert with the team at H&B. She often advises on payroll tax compliance to foreign inbound clients looking to establish payroll in the US and assists with setting up and streamlining clients’ payroll along with providing training on how to utilize their payroll systems.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in economics. After graduating, she pursued tax and public accounting and obtained her CPA license while with H&B.

Kim and her husband live in San Diego, where they enjoy being tourists in their own city. Kim is a self-proclaimed foodie, and loves traveling, hiking, attending Comic Con, playing board games, and going out to live music events.
