Jennifer Kolterman

She provides tax compliance and tax planning services to closely held businesses and their owners. Jennifer works with her clients to understand their tax issues, mitigate risk, and achieve their short- and long-term goals. Jennifer offers inbound business services that help foreign-based companies doing business in the US navigate the complexities of the US and multi-state marketplace and leads them through the challenges and opportunities they encounter doing business. Jennifer provides her clients with her expertise in income tax as well as sales tax for all state taxation issues.

Her clients include technology and software companies, manufacturers, distributors, and other professional service providers, as well as high net worth individuals. Jennifer also represents businesses by negotiating voluntary disclosure agreements and registering them in multiple states. She manages audits with the IRS, State Board of Equalization, Franchise Tax Board, and various other tax agencies with favorable outcomes for her clients.

Jennifer joined H&B in 2013 and was named Partner in 2024. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with emphasis in accounting from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master of Taxation degree from DePaul University. She is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jennifer’s prior experience includes being a tax manager at a national accounting firm.
