Carlos Santos

He joined the firm in 2005 and has more than 15 years experience in public accounting. Carlos’ focus has been international tax compliance, structuring of inbound and outbound transactions for individuals and companies, pre-immigration tax structuring and planning, and international tax planning.

Before joining H&B, Carlos worked at the Mexican accounting firm Gossler (now Crowe Horwath Gossler) for a year and a half at their Mexico City office. His experiences in Mexico City combined with his current practice at H&B, gives Carlos a unique insight on the different idiosyncrasies of both U.S. and Mexican tax law, which is crucial for cross border tax planning.

Carlos spent more than 30 years of his life in Mexicali, Mexico even though he attended grade school and high school in California. He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexicali campus in 2003.
